Al-Khair Foundation Kenya is dedicated to empowering vulnerable individuals living in poverty by providing them with the tools and resources needed to start and sustain their own businesses. Recognising the unique challenges faced by female breadwinners—especially widows—and persons with disabilities, our livelihood programmes focus on creating meaningful economic opportunities that promote self-reliance and dignity.
Through targeted support such as the distribution of sewing machines, beehives, hand grinding mills, and tricycles for persons with disabilities, we equip beneficiaries with practical means to generate sustainable income. These start-up assets enable individuals to build small businesses, improve household incomes, and contribute positively to their communities.
To date, Al-Khair Foundation Kenya’s livelihood projects have impacted 24,303 people, transforming lives by fostering economic independence and resilience.
